In the interest of full disclosure, let me start by pointing out that this list of “Ten Worst” is created by the American Association of Justice (AAJ) formerly, the American Trial Lawyers of America. Trial lawyers, especially personal injury and class action lawyers, have a financial interest in vilifying insurers. Trial lawyers also work with insurers daily and are in the best position to provide some insight into insurer practices.
